If AMZN is mainl concerned with graphically explicit digital contents falling into the hands of minors, why not just put a "waiver" page as prelude to these purchases - making the purchasers declare that they are 18 & older? I do think their graphic novels / manga ban targets the yaoi genre. I am definitely somewhat disappointed. And it is silly, it is not that hard albeit time consuming for a reader to convert those digital mangas from some of the other formats into .azw for kindle anyway.

But don't you have to be 18 to order from amazon in the first place? Yeah it's pretty confusing...there must be another reason behind it...

Today Amazon took down the paperback editions too. Hetero hentai is ok but not yaoi apparently.

@Shroud - Which yaoi manga are you referring to? I still see yaoi manga in stock at Amazon.

@Ruby - These titles from DMP:

Here's the latest info, with other removed titles listed:
http://theyaoireview.com/2011/05/09/kin ... #more-2854

But I suggest reading back through that blog's posts for a week to the original post, or looking back a page on this topic for the specific links. Speaking up to Amazon and spreading the word will also help!

@lore - Thanks for the information. ;) I have read about what's been going on with Amazon and the Kindle but I did not realize that they were removing some printed yaoi manga as well.

What the fuck is wrong with them? Do they honestly they can just take yaoi manga down just becuase it's "yaoi"? Becuase it seems that way. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That does seem to be the case. They have some outright het photo porn still up despite some folks reporting it, but pulled the yaoi (Kindle and print). Double standards...
