How do mangaka color their work?

I need ideas, since I'm a mangaka in training. I'm learning color techniques right now. I want my color work to be something around a Hinako Takanaga/Ashika Sakura/Typical shojo sparkly/3D-ish look.

The things I've learned so far:

Ayano Yamane

She does most (or, if not all) her illustrations in watercolor/colored ink. (Aw-man, its looks so darn gorgeous!) And she inks them first as well.

Also...
Hinako Takanaga-sensei has a sweet, gentle josei/shoujo blend look to it. I looks like mainly watercolor. I want to somehow add that LOOK in my color work (without fully imitating her of course! THAT WOULD BE DISRESPECTFUL!).

And I want some girly-ness like Nase Yamato... and Arina Tanemura.

Help?

I'm interested in learning this as well. I can draw but I can't colour...bleh. But what I wanna know most is actually what kind of colours they use and where to get them.

I've seen it. She's obviously very killed and has coloured a lot of times before. She knows exactly what to do and where to put shadows ect. It's gonna take a while to get that good. I've never really bothered trying. Nobody thought me such things were even possible. Useless school.

It looks like most manga-ka besides the newest generation uses some sort of water colours or wet colour pencils. I could be wrong though. Many can colour in the computer and make it look very water colour-ish. I guess the artist's different styles and skills makes it hard to see.
