Issue with joining 801?

I wasn't sure where else to post this so I'm hoping this was the right place: I requested access to 801 about 2 months ago and it's been stuck in pending status ever since. I figured something was broken after a week since the notice says you should be approved or declined within 48 hours. I tried to cancel the request and re-submit, but it says I can't remove access because my request is still pending. Basically any change I try to make can't be made because my request is still pending. Indeed broken? [More importantly, fixable?]

I did read that, thanks. I followed the rules in that post and my request has been pending for 2 months now. I'm saying I think there's a technical glitch.

I attempted to join the 801 discussion some time ago, before the 10 posts rule came in, but no joy. I haven't been on the forum for a while and my previous posts have disappeared, so now I'm back to trying to cobble 10 posts together... less joy. One day I'll get there. One day...
