NEW! Manga-Comic Editor/ Production Associate

Duties include:

• Copy-editing/rewriting the translations for manga/comic book production
• Script directing/typesetting/lettering/retouch/formatting text and images and layout for book production
• Preparing files for printer and checking printer proofs
• Selecting titles for publication
• Writing cover copy/solicitation copy/PR copy
• Writing content, maintain and deploy html newsletters
• Running DMG Teleconference/Live webcast /websites/forums
• Create covers, ads, and banners with graphic programs
• Maintenance of company websites
• eBook conversions and deployments
• ·      PR and marketing through all social networking channels: Facebook, Twitter, blogs, forums, etc.

Must have experience in the following:

• 2-3 years exp. in related industry or have produced 2 or more books for comic or manga editing
• Strong command of the English language with creative writing skills
• Familiar with Japanese nuance/manga/anime a plus
• Degree in English a plus
• 2-3 years software experience in Word. Experience in graphic design programs a plus: Photoshop 7, Illustrator, Quark, Indesign, etc.
• Html/CSS/CMS coding a major plus!
• Knowledge and experience with eBooks: epub, PDF, etc. a big plus
• Samples of published writing samples for review required
