You are making a LOT of bad decisions. Please also use the hiatus to review the company as a whole. The main way to alienate your customers is to disappoint them by extending dates by 6 months and also to NOT FINISH YOUR SERIES. If you license a series, stick with the whole thing. There is a series you're starting that I really really want to own, but I'm hesitant since I have yet to have the rest of the books for a strange and mystifying story or Kurashina sensei's passion, to name a few. I don't want you to go under, but if you're going to take another one of my favorite series and leave it half finished in limbo, then my only hope IS for you to go under so that Sublime can take your license and actually get it done.

Seriously, I want to give you my money so please print the rest of your series, at least finish A Strange and Mystifying Story and please please please don't half-ass Does the Flower Blossom. I beg you.

I just want to throw in my own comment about preferring print editions over digital ones. I've always enjoyed reading, and while I do find digital copies very handy, printed books always felt "right" to hold and read. Digital copies may take up less room overall, but that in itself is sort of damning. I like filling up my bookshelf with my collection so that I can see what I do have and what I would like to buy.

In all honesty, I have never purchased a digital copy of manga, so I cannot comment on their quality. However, I do know that a lot of releases by the DMG teams have a very poor reputation amongst readers. It's hard to spend my money on something that I would like to read but won't fully enjoy due to poor grammar or editing. If this hiatus is used to crack down on the teams so that quality improves, then I'm all for it. However, if the hiatus is used to revamp the business model so that printed editions are given less priority than digital ones (or possibly even gotten rid of all together), then I will be really sad. In that case, I would just ask that you price digital editions more appropriately. I'm positive that it doesn't cost the same amount to publish a printed book as to release a digital one. I understand a business's focus is on profit, but if it comes at the cost of your customers' loyalty, then I think you need to re-think a few things.

Missy - "I work in the service industry and customers can be cruel and rude without understanding the back story, let me just say this, there is more then meets the eye."

I work in the service industry as well, and I'd just like to say, as both an employee and customer in that industry, that I expect to be given the back story. No one should ever be expected to be both patient and forgiving when they are offered so little explanation.

I'm really annoyed with DMP. Not only for the ludicrous delay, but also for the fact that you're quite obviously contemplating scrapping print enditions altogether. Despite the fact that I have to pay nearly double the price of a book to import it to Australia, I still do and will because I appreciate and prefer printed editions.

If printing is no longer financially feesable, I will respect your decision. However, if you plan on transferring the print licenses to your DMG teams, I will refuse to purchase anything from your company ever again. If you plan on giving the projects to your DMG teams to cut the cost of paying professionals to do the work for you, I will refuse to purchase anything from your company ever again - and I will tell everyone who will listen to do the same.

The quality of your digital releases range from quite good to a downright waste of my money. Once every month or so, DMG releases a decent title translated and edited by a decent team, but in between are a dozen or so mediocre titles done by a pretty mediocre team.

I prefer print but I will buy digital, if the series is done professionally and is reasonably priced. I've purchased many titles from DMG that are edited extremely poorly, leaving me to question your company's standards in allowing these projects to be released in such a condition. Of course, not all of them are bad, but I think you need to respect your customers, and the publishing industry, by having professionals work on your licenses.

You're seriously doing your company damage, here.

I was shocked to hear about the haitus, I've been waiting for the ending for Tyrent for a while now, but 6 more monthes is ok I guess. I just hate not having the complete seirse in book form it looks incomplete to me. I learned my mistake when I purchased the 12 volumes of Junjo Romantica before the company went bankrupt, so I don't want the same thing to happen here as well.

One thing for sure is that I'm glad that I know now when is the rest of Ze is coming out. Its been over a year since the last volume, so to see that its still ongoing is a relief.

I'm in somewhat of a panic that Finder is not in the schedule for next year. I already have all the released volumes, so please don't cut this amazing manga out.

The last thing I want to say is PLEASE read your own blogs, and do something about the suggested licenings. I want to see the novel DeadLock in English, I'm sure that it won't be as hard to do that, after all you do have some of the auther's work like S.

I sincerely hope your company keeps to your word. Not only is it disappointing to hear that you'll be postponing distribution for ZE (volume 7) and other works a mere month away from its release date, it's worse knowing that readers and fans alike will have to wait another six months while the focus is given to digital media. I'm not one to be picky about print or digital, but when it comes to manga, I prefer a hard copy. Also, I hope that volume 6 of ZE will see the reprint that was set for this month, but seemingly pushed back to a later [unknown] date.

As a professional business, I doubt you need to hear it to know this, but trust is a key component to keeping consumers happy and spending. Like many others, I am unhappy about this setback, but as long as we are still getting publications for these works, I won't complain [too much].
