#amazonfail got you down? DMP has your alternatives!

kindle-nookYesterday, we announced some issues we’ve had with Amazon and their¬†content requirements for ebooks, issues that have resulted in the removal of several of our yaoi manga. ¬†The continued public out-pour of support has been very humbling and we want to thank Jennifer at The Yaoi Review and especially all of our friends, fans on the forums and twitter for helping to get the word out about Amazon’s arbitrary censorship. Amazon’s Kindle Store may be hostile towards our yaoi titles right now but we expect their current policies will be unsustainable given the negative criticism.

IN THE MEANTIME! You can find nearly our entire catalog of ebooks on eManga.com including the four titles removed from Amazon’s store (The Color of Love, Selfish Demon King, King of Debt, and Weekend Lovers). For those of you that use Barnes and Noble’s Nook Store we have a very robust helping of our titles available for Nook, ipad, iphone, PC, and Mac, all without the threat of Amazonian censorship~

Don’t let #amazonfail get you down, our books ain’t going no where. :)

    I would like to try Emanga.com services, but when I log in on Chrome and Opera, the HTTPS shows me it’s not secured at all.

    So until that gets fixed, I won’t be trying it out! Please get it fixed.

    Thank- you for the reassurance. I am so tired of censorship issues, and with the digital world I hope they’ll be gone for good soon. No one’s fantasy life should be patrolled, content in books should be rated, but not obliterated because someone doesn’t agree with the inside. I also want to be able to BUY YAOI legit, and not have to rely on sketchy scanslations that are nice, but don’t really benefit the original creator. And we’ve seen what happened to physical publishers like Tokyo Pop, which is sad, but I think digital is the future of manga, and it’s going to be here to stay.

    Licenses, censorship .. what so ever .. Yaoi-Lovers get dumped all the time. So at least we still have some nice people out there who care and still try to satisfy our hunger. Therefore my greatest respect and big THANKS!!! Publisher who do know that this stuff is quite appreciated and even has an huge market otherwise Japan wouldn’t release so much stuff every single month.
    Honestly I wish some German Publishers would follow some more and also support the e-book market. Honestly it’s an hassle to travel with two bagpacks filled with mangas ^^;;
    So, thanks for the Information!!
