By the way, you should remember, Amazon is a vendor, not a government organization or a non-profit group. Why is it in their best interest to do all the programming, advertising and placing of a product which they have decided they don't want to sell anymore? It is the decision thousands of stores make every day, particularly during the post Xmas returns. It isn't censorship, Amazon is a store.
It might have a lot more to do with DMP and Akadot messing around with Amazon's ordering system and Amazon's out of print policy than 'censorship'. Selfish Demon King was out of print and had been for quite some time, selling $60+ for a print copy. The kind of title that DMP was counting on Yaoi buyers to pay $8 or more. Day I became a butterfly, which DMP was selling for $3 for 16 months, they now want more than double that simply to READ it. Not to own it, trade it, sell it, just to READ it, be doing the equivilant of sending you an email (or as the owner of Yen Press said, "Before I printed 10,000 copies, now I print ONE copy on the computer and make the same money with no publishing costs".

Maybe if you didn't change release dates on Amazon, while at the same time selling the very title you have told them THEY can't have for 50% off, you are selling the title ON AMAZON using the 'third party sale' system. Plus selling it to any internet vendor for $4. Why shouldn't Amazon yank some out of print titles or some titles to remind you that they made the internet search infastructure, and they built up the #1 place to go vibe, and don't appreciate another publisher playing fast and loose by the rules. One of the big Manga companies screws with Amazon, refuses to sell to them while selling to people who have no shop at all at a 70% discount. Yeah, they might not want to do you any favors with your plans to use the Kindle platform to charge more after you make a book out of print. And your 'new' reader - well, it shows you have the money and capability to act like an adult in business. Wouldn't it be easier to actually do that with Amazon, instead of moving dates back constantly on them while selling to other vendors, and using their software to sell the yaoi books you refuse to stock them on their own site.

Grow up, and treat Amazon with the respect you want, and they will do you favors. Right now, they are reminding you that planning your profits off of someone else's system isn't nice, or professional.

I was wondering what the deal was with Amazon...now I know ! Censorship, eh ? They never heard of
the First Amendment ? I love the actual yaoi manga in my hands and I was pondering getting a
Kindle and I am very glad I did not ! I am very happy that this website exists and so many folks
love the yaoi genre. And I always knew that Barnes and Noble were more friendly to us,
the yaoi crowd .
